Dr. Saqer Alhloul

Co-Founder - Chief Engineer

Dr. Saqer Alhloul is a telecommunications specialist with a PhD in Telecommunication Engineering and extensive expertise in network infrastructure and signal processing. With over a decade as a professor in electrical and computer engineering, he has taught and researched advanced network technologies, and wireless communication systems.

Beyond academia, Dr. Alhloul has worked on hands-on lab development, industry collaborations, and applied research focused on network reliability and efficiency. His deep understanding of telecom systems infrastructure allows him to develop and implement cutting-edge fiber optic solutions that enhance speed, stability, and performance.

Jesse McCurdy

Director of Operations

Jesse McCurdy brings over 20 years of experience in telecommunications installation, maintenance, and fiber optic services. With a strong background in residential and commercial network solutions, Jesse has worked extensively in fiber optic internet installation, splicing, and troubleshooting. His expertise spans multiple service providers, ensuring reliable and high-performance network solutions.

As a Senior Technician and Trainer, Jesse has played a crucial role in training and mentoring new technicians, ensuring that every project meets industry standards and client expectations. His leadership and hands-on approach to network infrastructure, splicing techniques, and system optimization make him an invaluable asset to the ChappeTel team.

Tristan Rowton

Construction Operations Manager

Tristan brings hands-on leadership and field experience to ChappeTel, with two years of consistent success managing construction crews across civil projects and telecommunications installations. From operating heavy equipment to laying ground pipe and fiber lines, he leads by example and fosters a respectful, team-first culture on every job site.

Tristan believes that strong relationships and a healthy work environment are the foundation of excellent work. His approachable leadership style helps build crews that collaborate well, take pride in their work, and enjoy coming to work each day. For Tristan, quality isn’t driven by pressure—it’s a reflection of the pride teams feel in what they build together. He’s committed to helping his teams grow, succeed, and deliver high-quality results across every project.

Dr. Ahmed Gauoda

Project Manager & Geospatial Analyst

Ahmed manages our fiber-blowing work from planning through close-out. He develops route plans, coordinates locates and turns engineering intent into clear daily build sheets for crews. Drawing on a PhD in Geography and advanced GIS training, he builds and maintains the spatial data that powers our projects, duct/handhole layouts, microduct assignments, and as-built maps so owners have precise records at turnover.

On site, Ahmed oversees blowing setups, and production tracking; in the office, he aligns materials, traffic control, and stakeholder communications to keep schedules and budgets on track. His detail-first approach to quality and safety helps deliver reliable underground plant with minimal disruption. Based in the Inland Northwest, Ahmed supports projects nationwide.

Robert “Allen” McCurdy

Network Engineer

Allen designs and maintains the networks that power our fiber builds. He brings enterprise experience across switching, routing, firewalls, and core services (VMware, Linux, AD, DNS, DHCP), plus a track record of standardizing multi-vendor environments and writing practical disaster-recovery procedures. Before ChappeTel, he led network refreshes, consolidated switching fleets, migrated PBX to VoIP, and partnered with cybersecurity teams to remediate large vulnerability backlogs—improving uptime and hardening critical systems.

Earlier, as a U.S. Army Satellite Communications Operator/Maintainer, he supported classified and unclassified Cisco networks and mission-critical links, grounding his work in disciplined, security-first practices. At ChappeTel, Allen validates designs, optimizes configurations for field productivity, and keeps our splicing, blowing, and testing workflows running on fast, stable, and resilient infrastructure.

Chance Hansen

Fiber Optic Technician

Based in Post Falls, Idaho, Chance brings years of hands-on experience in fiber optic installation, splicing, and repair. He specializes in both aerial and underground fiber deployments, system testing, and activation. Known for his precision and reliability, Chance ensures every project is completed with attention to detail and a strong focus on customer satisfaction. His commitment to quality work and dependable service makes him an essential part of the ChappeTel team.
